Uncle Benny’s features a custom door shop! While the concept of a door is simple; the details that are involved in retrofitting, installing or customizing doors are very complicated. That is why we began offering a broad range of door milling services to our customers shortly after opening for business in 1995. We are extremely reasonably priced and each door is done one at a time by a local craftsman.

We may be the only door shop around that is willing to prehang, restore or  customize antique doors. We are the only business around (to our knowledge) that is willing to work on doors provided by our customers. We are happy to work with your doors or ours to get your project done in the fastest, least expensive, least invasive route. We are here to save you money, hassle and time.

In our shop, we routinely perform door match-ups. This is very commonly needed when our customers have a damaged door or want to upgrade a whole house of doors from a dated, cheap, worn out look to new hollow or solid doors. Matching up doors often saves time, money and mess as the idea is to keep the existing door jamb in place and replace only the door. Hinge pockets, width, height and door knob location are all over the map when it comes to a standard door. What we do is; machine a new or used door to match an existing door so that it can be installed with simple tools like a screwdriver and maybe a tap of a hammer or slight trim with a razor blade.

Here, at Uncle Benny’s, we’re proud of the fact that we relate, work with and serve every person that comes to us with a door “project”. From a simple repair that helps someone get their damage deposit back, to retrofitting solid stain grade custom doors… From building custom, one-of-a-kind entry systems and rolling barn doors to restoring and re-hanging simple, antique doors… We process each project one at a time with the same level of commitment and determination to please our customers and ourselves with the work that is done.
